What does your email quote say about you?
What’s in your wallet?
Can you hear me now?
No, no, don’t tell me. What I really want to know is:
What quote is in your email signature?
What are you trying to say to us?
Many of us have quotes at the end of our emails. Here are a few common ones:
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” – Chinese Proverb
“Let the beauty of what you love what you do.” – Rumi
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop
What quote is in your email signature? Why did you choose that one? What does it mean to you? What are you trying to tell us?
Consider sending in a short (250 word) reflection on the quote and what it means to you.
Why take the time to write a reflection? The quote you’ve chosen obviously has meaning for you. But have you ever tried to explain why? Writing about something that is meaningful to us can stir inner reflections – and add to its meaning.
Why send your reflection to Building Bridges? Each reflection posted on Building Bridges Word by Word helps us get to know each other a little better – a first step in building bridges across our divides.
How to get started? Read the stories at Building Bridges Word by Word, review the guidelines, prompts, and steps for sending in your story.
Questions? Write us at buildingbridgeswbw@gmail.com
We look forward to hearing from you!
